Pessary Clinic Manchester
Pessary fitting and pessary management for pelvic organ prolapse, heaviness and bladder symptoms in Manchester. Appointments are carried out by a specialist women’s health physiotherapist in a private and supportive setting.
You do not need a GP referral, and many women contact us after months or years of silently coping with symptoms — you are not alone, and this is a very common condition we help with every week.
What is a pessary?
A vaginal pessary is a small medical support device inserted into the vagina to help support the pelvic organs. It is commonly used to manage pelvic organ prolapse symptoms and can also improve bladder leakage and pelvic pressure.
Symptoms a pessary may help
- A dragging or heavy sensation in the vagina
- A visible or felt bulge
- Bladder leakage
- Difficulty exercising or walking comfortably
- Pelvic pressure after standing
- Symptoms worsening by the end of the day
Your appointment
Your assessment includes a full pelvic health consultation, discussion of your symptoms and goals and, if appropriate, pessary fitting. The process is gentle, explained clearly and carried out in a private clinical setting.
Follow-up and ongoing care
You will be advised about care, cleaning and review intervals. Ongoing support is provided to ensure comfort and effectiveness.
